Cathay Pacific Airways, the Hong Kong-based carrier and a current user of Jeppesen Crew Pairing, has recently decided to implement the Boeing Alertness Model (BAM) and Jeppesen Concert. BAM will be used both with the crew planning optimizers for a proactive reduction of fatigue risk, and through Jeppesen Concert for quantifying and monitoring fatigue risk development throughout the crewing process.
"In 2018, Cathay Pacific introduced Jeppesen Crew Pairings, which catalysed significant changes to our processes for crew management", says James Evans, General Manager Crew Management Programme at Cathay Pacific. "The crew planning optimizers and analytics delivered by Jeppesen opens up many new possibilities for us to improve our agility, decision support, crew productivity, as well as fatigue risk aspects in our operation."
Peter Andersson, Vice President Crew Management at Jeppesen adds, "We are very proud of the continued trust Cathay Pacific places in our capabilities and we look forward to support them through this transformation and for many years to come."
