Risk prevention and mitigation starts with risk awareness. Without an awareness of risk, we are unlikely to act differently. CrewAlert provides predictions of future alertness levels as a function of the work/rest schedule, your personal settings and also your logged sleep/wake history, entered manually or brought in automatically from wearable devices.
The Apple watch-complications already provides the predicted KSS-score 'at-a-glance', as well as time awake to next warning level without opening the CrewAlert app. The just recently released version of CrewAlert on the App Store now also delivers these awareness features to users that don't have an Apple Watch. CrewAlert now supports the home-screen widgets that Apple launched with iOS 14. This means you can configure 'panels' on your iPhone or iPad home screen (see picture) to show current KSS score and your 'drop-dead-limit'. All to provide improved risk awareness.
The functionality uses your personal settings and your own roster and sleep data - enabling you to prepare and recover even better going forward. Check it out!
CrewAlert is available free of charge in the Apple Appstore. Some 'power features' are only available to subscribers for a monthly subscription fee.
