The Jeppesen Crew & Ops Development Partners Meeting (also known as CDP) gathered together close to 200 crew and fleet professionals in Gothenburg in mid-May. The meeting contained 28 different sessions on optimization, crew planning, ops solutions, infrastructure, deployment and much more, even the topic of quantum computing was included.
This annual gathering of experts keeps growing in importance, and serves the purpose of collecting customer feedback, discussing on-going research efforts and trends, as well as facilitating information exchange between subject matter experts.
David Karlsson, technical modelling expert at Jeppesen, provided an update on the progress of our work towards the next version of BAM. The research, driven by large quantities of collected data, builds on the work done for the 2014 validation paper and targets a release of BAM 3 before next summer. More information will follow this fall in Dubai at the annual users conference.
