This study, published back in March this year, set out to assess the perception of aviation crew about the impact of the FTL regulation changes to fatigue levels, reporting and just safety culture. The paper concludes that the results indicate fatigue is under-reported and is a real risk to safety in the aviation industry.
This finding draws from a survey with 794 commercial cabin crew and pilots operating under European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations. 73.2% said they have not reported fatigue to their airline and 81.7% said they have been operating fatigued. Please find the full paper via this link.
