A recent publication* in the Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance journal reports on a study of the impact of COVID-19 on US based pilots.
Perhaps counter-intuitively, the results indicated that despite a reduction in flights and duty days, COVID-19 led to increased sleepiness on days off and in flight. The authors attributed this, potentially, to the negative impact of lack of access to essential needs and heightened stress on sleep. Please find the full publication through this link.
