Marcel Sol, good to see you. How are you keeping up?
-Excellent, thank you. A few years ago I retired from KLM and started to work for Qatar Airways here in Doha. I enjoy it a lot and quickly realised that I am born to be in this very hot climate – while the entire country escapes in air-conditioning I love to run outside in the 45+ heat.
Today I’m leading a team at Qatar Airways that work with the business logic for the crew pairing and rostering processes. We implement business logic for production of course, but also for supporting our decision-making where we use the solutions for producing ‘what-if scenarios’.
