Edelweiss, a Switzerland-based leisure airline within the Lufthansa Group, has recently entered an agreement with Jeppesen for the provisioning of Crew Pairing, Rostering and Fatigue Risk Management functionality, supporting their crew planning functions.
"Since we introduced FRM at Edelweiss in 2016, we have examined various options for strengthening and improving our 'predictive pillar'. With BAM from Jeppesen, we now have a scientifically recognized solution that provides us with the right key performance indicators for a holistic risk assessment in the FRM domain", says Cpt. Tobias Maurer, Senior Flight Safety Manager, at Edelweiss. "The Boeing Alertness Model also enables us to exchange and compare FRM performance with other airlines within the Lufthansa Group.", he concludes.
Arvid Müllern-Aspegren, Head of Scheduling Safety at Jeppesen, comments: "We are happy and proud to welcome Edelweiss on board, who join the quickly growing community of operators relying on BAM for their FRM activities."
